North Star Academy Laval Geography (secondary 1 and 2) students and members of the Wildlife Environmental Group, will compete in the annual Classroom Energy Diet Challenge, a contest where students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 complete 25 energy-related challenges. The competition, which runs from January 30 to April 26, encourage students to become aware and empower them to begin to make a difference when it comes to Canada’s energy consumption.
The challenges ask that classrooms around the country work together for a common goal: learning about and implementing practices that promote efficient use of sustainable energy. Having already submitted an accomplished challenge: A Green Powered Canada, North Star Academy Laval students continue to work hard to make their school, community, country and their planet a better place.
Completed challenges are awarded points for the chance to win 100 prizes totaling $40,000 to be won
