Guiding studens from “Admissions to Graduation”
North Star Academy’s Middle School, grades 7-8, is an important transition time for students moving from elementary into high school. Students transitioning into their teenage years require a delicate balance of support and freedom. Our faculty use a personalized approach for each student while engaging them in an exciting and unique learning environment. Our Signature Programs make learning meaningful, helping our students connect their learning at school with the real world through:
- Curriculum based contests recognized locally and nationally
- Community based educational outings
- Great variety of motivational guest speakers, and
- Local, national and international travel.
Technology weaves its way into our day to day teaching and learning. Through the use of Google classroom our students use their iPads to collaborate, research and develop their study skills—building competencies for an ever changing world. Parents receive a weekly summary of class events as well as access to our online communication system: Dash, where they receive up to date information on results on assignments, homework and evaluations.
North Star Academy Laval recognizes the value of excellence in academic advising. Each student is guided from “Admissions to Graduation”. Through our unique conferencing, students receive one on one meetings, building a collaborative relationship with the academic advisor in order to assist each student in developing meaningful educational goals that are consistent with personal interests, values and abilities.
Middle school is a key time in your child’s life, at North Star Academy, parents are our partners in education because we know that it takes a team to guide a 21st Century teen towards adulthood.
