In support of Anti-bullying day, on February 20, 2017, NSA welcomed guest speakers Matthew Ross and Dwight Walton to talk about issues pertaining to bullying. Mr. Ross and Mr. Walton spoke about their own personal experiences regarding this issue. They also talked about the support available for students.
Matthew Ross has been a radio host for over 12 years in Montreal. He has been published in the Montreal Gazette, on MLB.com, Askmen.com and other outlets. Matthew is the founder of ExposNation, a non profit organization that promotes the return of the Expos baseball club to the city. You can hear his radio show Weekend Game Plan on TSN 690 in Montreal every Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 9am.
Dwight Walton is a former professional basketball player and member of the Canadian National basketball team, playing in the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, Korea. He was an All-American in College at Florida Institute of Technology. He also played at Sienna College. He has worked with children for many years on and off the court. Currently, Mr. Walton is a student supervisor at JFK High School, a regular analyst on TSN 690 and other radio stations, consults with the National basketball team and is a basketball referee in his spare time.
